Learning Beliefs I am a whole hearted believer in the effectiveness of the constructivist learning environment. I am living proof that the theory works. The frustration and struggles that have plagued me through most of my masters level classes have led to a depth of understanding that simple instruction would not have allowed for. The effort involved in searching out the answers creates true knowledge. In the same way I believe that project based, interdisciplinary learning allows students to apply knowledge to real life situations. Facts and figures begin to have value as students see real world applications for their newly acquired knowledge. It also causes them to ask more questions and therefore, continue their journey of lifelong learning. I have learned the most valuable lessons as I struggle through mastery of a topic, I would love to impart that to a student.
